AINSWORTH BARLOWS
The main area for my research is around the small village of Ainsworth, where I grew up. Ainsworth Village has been the birth place and home of many generations of Barlows.
During my research I have been helped enormously by my family, friends, Manchester and Lancashire Records Office, Church of Latter Day Saints and many other genealogy establishments, I would like to thank all these people and organisations for all their patience, time and effort they have given.
CHURCHES
Here you will find information about some of the churches I have come across in my research. Most of the information was gathered over the internet and my thanks go to all these individuals that had done most of the donkey work.
PLACES
General information that I have gathered during my family research about villages and towns that have featured in our family history.
PEOPLE
This page is the gateway for finding your BARLOW, BOYLE, GORE and STANSFIELD ancestors. The pages are by no means complete and some have much more information than others. This is an on-going project and I will update these pages on a regular basis as more information comes to hand. If you feel you have something to offer by means of family history please feel free to contact me.
MAPS
I hope to provide you with general low resolution maps of Villages and Towns from the 19th Century. I have the originals in my possession and the images here are for viewing purposes only.
TREES
Family Tree information on the names BARLOW, BOYLE, GORE and STANSFIELD. Although there are many other names connected to the BARLOW family, these are the main names that feature highly in my research.
The family trees have been reproduced digitally and saved in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF) because of the large size and for better clarity, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to see them. If you do not already have this software on your pc, it can be downloaded free from www.adobe.co.uk
Eventually I hope to include one page with ALL the surnames connected with our family tree, but in the meantime if you know which branch your name is connected to, you should be able to find it by visiting the people pages.
GRAVES
I seem to have developed this morbid hobby, whilst researching the family tree, of taking photographs of the family gravestones. If this interests you please take a look, from this page I have also linked some cemetery plans to show the location of the graves, hopefully this will help future visitors to locate that lost grave. Please be patient with the cemetery plans, I am working on them as fast as I can.
